Scholarship Opportunities
UT FCU Scholarship Award 2012
We are pleased to announce that we will be awarding up to $5,000 in college scholarships to UT Federal Credit Union Members!
To qualify for scholarship eligibility the applicant must have the following qualifications:
- Applicant must be a member of UT FCU in good standing.
- Applicant must be a high school graduate or graduating in 2012.
- Applicant must be planning to pursue an undergraduate education at least part time.
- Applicant must not be a top previous winner of scholarship funds from UT FCU.
Please complete the following scholarship package for consideration:
A Completed Application form along with an essay of 750 words or less typed and double-spaced in response to the following "What are some common mistakes people your age make with credit cards? What are some ways you can avoid making those mistakes. How do credit cards affect your credit score?" Essays will be judged on originality, attention to detail and specific examples.

In order to be considered for the scholarship, applicants must ensure that the completed scholarship package is received or postmarked to UT FCU by Friday. March 9th, 2012. (Faxed or E-mailed materials will NOT be accepted!) The scholarships will be awarded at the 2012 Annual Meeting.
How do I apply?
Print an application form from the UT web site (www.utmuo.com) or pick up the application forms at any of the three UT locations. Applications and materials should be sent to:

Funds will be disbursed on Monday, August 13, 2012, directly to the educational institution you have indicated. In order for funds to be disbursed, proof of enrollment must be provided to the committee by August 3rd, 2012 along with the institution's mailing address. Failure to submit enrollment verification will entitle UT FCU to revoke scholarship funds.
