Phishing Attack in Progress; Please Read Below and Act Accordingly
We have become aware that some of our clients, and some organizations that are not our clients, are receiving phishing emails that references the “eNFact” product. The email directs recipients to click on a link that takes them to a mock-Fiserv site that we presently believe may install malicious software. This may be a serious threat.
Please alert your organization about this issue, and direct recipients of the attached email NOT to open it or, if they do, NOT to click on the link.
The phishing attack is contained in a fraudulent email identical or similar to the one that follows:

If you have received this phishing attack via email, or if you receive it at any time from this point forward:
- Do not open the email;
- Do not click on the link contained in the email; clicking on any of the links contained in the email may install malicious software on your system;
- If a link is clicked, your organization’s Information Security personnel should immediately take your system off of the network;
- Report the email to your organization’s Information Security personnel;
- Delete the email from your “Inbox” and “Sent Items; and
- If you have inadvertently clicked on the link please notify your local helpdesk for assistance As Soon As Possible.
The points above may also be shared with cardholders.
At this time there is no evidence or indication that systems in our organization have been affected.
We are taking three steps to help you protect yourself. First, we have asked the hosting provider of the phishing site to take it down, although we are presently unsure whether our request will be honored. Second, we are reporting this to our regulatory authorities, whose engagement may help us get the attention of both the phishing site’s hosting provider and law enforcement. Third, we are researching the potentially malicious payload the phishing site could install, and will provide you with information you may be able to use to limit infection in your own environment.
We will issue further communication as soon as we have substantive progress to share.
You can conduct the following transactions at any Shared Branch:
Deposit Cash or Checks (including cash back): Make deposits into your credit union accounts. It is as safe and secure as depositing money at your home credit union. Cash back is dependent on the previous balance in your account. Availability of funds deposited to your account will depend on your credit union's policy. Funds may not be immediately available.
Withdrawals (Cash or Checks): Make withdrawals up to your available balance.
Loan Payments: Make payments up to your available balance.
Transfer Between Accounts: Transfer money between your credit union accounts.
Print Statements: Receive printed statements.
Check Cashing: Checks can be deposited and withdrawn. The amount withdrawn must be equal to or less than your previous account balance, unless the check is "immediate." Immediate checks are as follows: cashier checks, travelers checks, government checks, recognizable major company payroll checks, Federal Reserve, or Federal Home Loan Bank checks. Drafts written directly from your share draft account will not be cashed. A withdrawal from your account will be done instead.
Purchase Money Orders: Purchase money orders, just like you would at your own credit union. May be subject to fees. May not be available at all locations.
Purchase Traveler's Checks: Purchase traveler's checks just like you would at your own credit union. May be subject to fees. May not be available at all locations.
Purchase Official Checks: Purchase other official checks. May be subject to fees. May not be available at all locations.
It is simple and secure: Just enter any credit union that displays the Shared Branching "Swirl". When you enter any Shared Branch, just provide the teller with:
- Your home credit union's name
- Your account number
- A valid government-issued photo I.D., such as a state driver's license
